SHERMAN DISPUTE RESOLUTIONS
2026 MEDIATION & ARBITRATION SERVICES FEE SCHEDULE
MEDIATION RATE SCHEDULE
Hourly Rate: $225.00 per hour
A two-hour minimum applies to all mediation sessions, resulting in a minimum mediation fee of $450.00.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, mediation fees are the responsibility of the participating parties and shall be allocated equally among the parties.
COMMON MEDIATION PACKAGES
Sherman Dispute Resolutions offers the following convenient mediation packages:

Package rates apply to the reserved mediation time. Additional time beyond the applicable package may be billed at the standard hourly rate of $225.00 per hour, subject to mediator availability and agreement of the parties.
VIRTUAL & IN-PERSON MEDIATION
Mediation conferences are generally conducted virtually unless the parties request an in-person mediation.
In-person mediations may be accommodated at the Sherman Dispute Resolutions office or at another mutually agreed-upon location.
For mediations outside the local service area, travel charges may apply as described below.
TRAVEL FEES
For mediations conducted outside the local service area:
Travel: $0.65 per mile, round trip, plus applicable travel time billed at $225.00 per hour.
Travel fees will be calculated based upon the agreed-upon mediation location and communicated to the parties when the mediation is scheduled.
ADMINISTRATIVE & PREPARATION TIME
Administrative, preparation, and case-related services may be billed at the standard rate of:
$225.00 per hour
Such services may include, but are not limited to:
- Review of pleadings, motions, exhibits, and other case materials
- Pre-mediation preparation
- Communications with counsel and parties
- Telephone or video conferences
- Preparation of mediation documents
- Settlement agreement preparation
- Post-mediation follow-up
- Preparation of the Mediation Report
- Administrative services related to the mediation
- Collection efforts concerning outstanding fees
Administrative or preparation time will be billed when applicable and may be separate from the selected mediation package.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING
Mediation dates are reserved specifically for the parties and may prevent Sherman Dispute Resolutions from accepting other matters during that time.
A cancellation fee of 50% of the estimated mediation fee will apply when a mediation is cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled mediation.
The cancellation fee may be waived or modified at the discretion of Sherman Dispute Resolutions under appropriate circumstances.
Rescheduling requests may be subject to availability and applicable cancellation fees.
PAYMENT OF FEES
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, mediation fees are to be paid by the participating parties in accordance with the payment arrangements established at the time the mediation is scheduled.
For two-party mediations, fees will generally be divided equally between the parties unless the parties agree otherwise.
Each party remains responsible for ensuring that its share of the mediation fees is paid when due.
Sherman Dispute Resolutions reserves the right to require advance payment or a deposit to confirm and reserve mediation dates.
ADDITIONAL TIME
If a mediation continues beyond the time included in the selected package, additional time may be billed at the standard rate of $225.00 per hour, subject to the mediator’s availability and the agreement of the parties.
The mediator may conclude the mediation at the end of the reserved time if additional time has not been agreed upon.
ARBITRATION SERVICES
Arbitration services are available through Sherman Dispute Resolutions. Arbitration fees, including hearing time, preparation, administrative services, travel, and related expenses, may be established separately based upon the scope, complexity, duration, and specific requirements of the arbitration.
An individualized arbitration fee agreement may be provided upon request.
COURT ORDERS & PARTY AGREEMENTS
The parties acknowledge and agree that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, the terms of this fee schedule govern the payment and allocation of mediation fees unless the parties have entered into a separate written agreement with Sherman Dispute Resolutions.
RATE EFFECTIVE DATE
Rates are effective January 1, 2026, and are subject to change.
The rates applicable to a mediation will generally be those in effect when the mediation is scheduled, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
